Artist statement: I work exclusively with photographs. I think that it is great fun to look at ordinary subjects that we all see every day and through the photographic process make the subject very special. I look for the common place and I try to show it to the viewer in an interesting and enlightening way. I think that we all need to appreciate what immediately surrounds us – this is what I try to do with my photography.

Artist statement: The young girls I show are on the path to Scarborough Beach Rhode Island, which is my favorite place to visit in the summer. It was midday summer and the path filled with sunlight. The girls were heading to the sea when I saw the long shadow behind them. I suddenly wanted to paint this moment ...

Kite flying by the sea

$600.00

Artist statement: I visited Beavertail Light House in Rhode Island during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a beautiful day and the clouds in the sky were also beautiful. As I was looking up at the sky, I caught my eye on a bright blue and red kite. When I saw who was flying the kite, it was a little boy and next to him were his father and sister, who were having fun together ... I remembered once I was flying kites with my older brother and friends in a field.

Artist statement: I put the broken geranium stem in a small bottle and left it by the kitchen window. One day, a flower bloomed from the broken geranium branch, and the flower reflected on the window at night. It was especially beautiful.

Fire Dancer
Fire Dancer
Meagan Fedigan
$95.00

Artist statement: I attended an event at Old Sturbridge Village and was absolutely mesmerized by the fire dancers. The movement of the warm flames was simultaneously sensual and dangerous. I was drawn in by the contrasts of the flames setting the dancers aglow yet also driving them into deep shadows.

$200.00

Artist statement: I have been interested in photography since about the age of 12. I had my first darkroom (converted basement bathroom) when I was 14 and since that time, I have considered the photographic capture, processing and printing process as my favorite form of expression. My main photographic interests are candid lifestyle, street, landscape and studio/location portraiture.

Our Dissappearing Planet_Spring at the Dunes.
Gail Fischer
$375.00

Artist statement: During the pandemic I purchased an infrared digital camera and used that time to learn infrared and concentrate on how I wanted to approach the Eroding Dunes story I was developing. That time also allowed me numerous visits to Crane Beach, especially during the winter months and early spring. My project is not scientific but rather an artistic approach to a beautiful place in our state, while observing the numerous areas with eroding sand dunes.

Road to Dunes
Gail Fischer
$375.00

Artist statement: "Our Disappearing Planet", Road to Dunes is part of a series of works about our environment. During the Pandemic I made frequent trips to the dunes in winter. My project is not a scientific study but rather an artistic interpretation of a changing landscape. Infrared allowed me to record heat. The off color associated with the infrared camera is an important part of my project. Using the photo emulsion transfer material is essential to illustrate the deteriorating dunes.

Nesting Storks
Nesting Storks
Gail Fischer
$350.00

Artist statement: The Nesting Storks was inspired during a visit to Florida to bury my elderly mother-in-law. Using my infrared camera I sought peace and quiet from the everyday witness of sadness. At that time, I was also monitoring my own daughters' difficult pregnancy. The symbolism, the irony and contrast between life and death, became so important and pushed me to seek solitude every morning while photographing their nesting process.

Breath of Winter on the Westfield River
Breath of Winter on the Westfield River
Sarah Foley

Selected for Exhibition
Artist statement: This image caught my eye during a February hike to the Keystone Arches in Chester Ma. It was an unusually cold day for such a warm winter. The way the objects in the river were framed by the patterns in the ice was testament to the wild swings in temperature over the past few months.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider
The Itsy Bitsy Spider
Sarah Foley
$100.00

Artist statement: This image came to me from Glendale Falls in Middlefield MA. I am naturally drawn to the repeating patterns and texture in nature. Because of this I had been shooting the underside of mushrooms. The spider in this image was a surprise. He was a castaway in the image and stole the show.. I think he adds a bit whimsy to the photo.
Watery Illusion on October Mountain
Watery Illusion on October Mountain
Sarah Foley
$100.00

Artist statement: This image came to me on a February hike on October Mountain in Lee, MA. The amount of hidden history in the woods is surprising. In many areas, vibrant homesteads flourished before the advent of automobiles and highways. At first glance, this is a watery reflection on a brown background. In reality it is a piece of old enamel as colourful as ever laid over a fallen tree. The metal rusted away however the beauty of this piece of "lost" history survived, reminding us of a time long ago.

Artist statement: This image came to me during a February hike along the Westfield River on the Keystone Arches Trail in Chester, MA. It was during a colder period which followed warmer days. That, combined with the movement of the river and the breeze over the water created these fascinating swirls in the ice. I was drawn to the way the ice hugged the rock and encased the other natural objects in the water. To me this image is timeless, never to be the same again.
