Artist statement: There are many classic photos and paintings of the beautiful blue domed white buildings that grace the town of Io on the Greek Isle of Santorini -- I've taken many photos of them myself. But this image was quite unique -- a stack of paintings of the iconic buildings, one on top of the other, done by a local artist, that created a unique mosaic of the structures.

Artist statement: During a visit to Killarney, Ireland, I happened to walk past a restaurant when I spotted a pretty little red-headed girl. She was all dressed up for her communion, and having a celebratory tea with her family and friends. She nodded that I could take her picture. The image, capturing the restaurant's signs and the reflection of the modern cars and a horse-drawn carriage across the street gave the image a timeless quality.
