What Have We Done
What Have We Done
Michelle Boiardi

Artist statement: I am awe-struck daily by the things that I witness in nature. Spiderwebs, insects, bark, flowers, leaves, the river I live on, the heron, eagles, and beavers, clouds, and stones. When I walk and observe these things, they become metaphors for me. I often experience epiphanies or life lessons from these things in nature that capture my full attention. My hope in sharing some of my images is that they will have the same impact on the viewer. Miracle exist, we just need to pay attention.
The Beginning of The End
The Beginning of The End
Michelle Boiardi

Artist statement: I came upon the fallen flower bud illuminated by the sun, and it was only upon looking at the picture after I had taken it that I saw the beetle. I could not help but contemplate the process of decomposition and decay, which was really in stark contrast to the brightly lit, pretty flower petals. I took it as a reminder to live fully in the moment, and appreciate time.

Artist statement: I am fascinated by water droplets on almost any surface, and find myself compulsively photographing them. I am intrigued by what can be seen inside of them or reflected from them. To me they represent their own little world.

Artist statement: The partially opened gardenia was a reminder to me of potential and possibility. A prompt to try to be "open".
Nature's Nepenthe
Nature's Nepenthe
Shayla Boliver

Artist statement: My subject matter is nature, but more than that it is the desire to express my feelings in a way that words often cannot. I take these photos because I believe that nature has a certain quality that most people do not always possess. It has a calm aura about it that I find has the ability to chase away sorrow and ease pain when admired fully, giving me a sense of relief that is difficult to find when surrounded by the anxieties of modern life.

Keeping Koi
Keeping Koi
Linda Bonaccorsi
$225.00

Selected for Exhibition
Artist statement: I love the movement of water, and in this case the movement was caused by the activity of numerous Koi fish in a pond. I was mesmerized by the vibrant colors of these beauties, and I was fascinated by how graceful their tails were as they moved through the water, sometimes breaching the surface. It was that tip of the tail that I started to focus on. I find it is what draws the eye in to further examine the image. It makes the image seem almost more abstract than it really is.
Checking You Out
Checking You Out
Linda Bonaccorsi
$275.00

Artist statement: Don't forget to look up! I was walking with my husband, and he noticed a crow up in a tree above me. Not one to get too excited about a crow, I decided to point my camera up anyway. I'm glad I did, this guy was a great subject. Crows are actually very intelligent birds, and I do believe he was just as interested in me as I was in him. Or maybe, he's interested in you. What do you think, Is he checking you out?
