James Bavosi

Selected for Exhibition
Artist statement: I strive for my nature and abstract photography to express the passion I have for life in general. My color works are seldom muddy, gray or unclear. I prefer them bright, sharp, well contrasted and saturated. Even the monochromes tend to be bold and vibrant. Decades of studying this medium has taught me to develop a critical eye toward the world. I feel both obligated and privileged to use this ability to present my perceptions of it in a truthful and beautiful way. ~ Jim Bavosi

Jennifer Behymer

Selected for Exhibition
Artist statement: Charcoal is my favorite medium to work with for portrait and figurative pieces to convey the personality and character of a model. My model has a lovely way about her that is both calm and graceful. We did the photo shoot on a late summer day and my arbor was the perfect backdrop for a quiet “Reverie”.
Specific medium: Charcoal and White Chalk on Toned Paper
Mystic Tea
Mystic Tea

Artist statement: This piece started out as a study for a still life painting. However, as I fell in love with the antique tea pot, cherries and pussy willow branches it eventually it turned into a finished drawing.
Specific medium: Graphite on Paper

$250.00

Artist statement: The green bottle, shell and starfish are all things that I imagined could have washed up on a sandy beach. Searching for sea glass always makes me wonder where and how long ago the fragments of glass were lost at sea. In this case my “sea glass” is whole bottle and I hope it once contained a message…
