Slender Splendors
Joyce V. Caras
$750.00

Artist statement: Nature has been my source of inspiration for many years. A muse that allows me to express myself. These lilies called me aside by their delicate fragility, the shapes of their blossoms.
Specific medium: Graphite and watercolor on paper.
Car–Hop Revisited
Car–Hop Revisited
Joyce V. Caras
$750.00

Artist statement: Humor is a great release. Light–hearted moments captured through watercolor given them an even transparency. A hark back to the 1950's grants memories of a simpler life.
Specific medium: Graphite and watercolor on paper.
natura servandum abundantia
natura servandum abundantia
Jennifer Robin Caras
$19,750.00

Artist statement: We must preserve the abundance of nature. That which has not lost its causes and consequences beyond our control. Photography, an aggregate in an effort to communicate the essential. That is, a necessity to want to protect the cyclical equilibrium of nature's progressions. The photographic rendering is a part of an authentification process for me, of personal inclination in thought, through art. With this, in the initial instant, a mere by−stander I am. Mosogno, Circolo d'Onsermone (810m) TI/CH.
Specific medium: Dye-sublimation onto aluminium

Artist statement: Forest; an interval. From the original Latin definition of Arborētum – a place where a given plant grows. Photography, an aggregate in an effort to communicate the essential necessity to want to protect the cyclical equilibrium of nature's progressions. This is a process of authentification of inclination, intentionality, thought; through art (excluding true progress). With this, in the given instant, a mere by−stander I am. Russo, Circolo d'Onsermone (870m) (TI) CH.
Specific medium: Dye-sublimation onto aluminium

Artist statement: Since I first held a camera, I have been fascinated by the way the world shrinks in the viewfinder. Photography allows me to focus, seeing things I wouldn’t have noticed without the narrowed field of vision of a lens. Through lens-based media, both still and moving image, I explore the interaction of light and structure; the interaction of humanity with nature; and the interactions between the individual and society in an attempt to understand what makes us all human.

Day is Done
Evan Charney
$240.00

Artist statement: I have long been fascinated with printmaking: it is a perverse art form, as much craft as art, requiring considerable time and patience. And unlike painting the outcome is uncertain until the “aha” moment when you lift paper from press and the final result is revealed. After all these years printmaking is still a daunting challenge, but what a wonder when it comes out right!
