Artist statement: Having been brought up near the Maine shore, I am well aquatinted with foggy mornings. Fog actually occurs any time of the day. It could be hot and steamy one minute and then the cold fog rolls in. My mother would never let us leave the house without our sweats.

Artist statement: I started taking photographs of my gardens and the birds surrounding them. It was a means of documenting my many flowers and native plants. I realized photography has become my new art form allowing me to express my love for nature in my pictures. I consider myself a nature photographer, capturing the beauty of the moment, whether it is animals, flowers, landscapes, or a particular tree.

I'm fascinated by the ubiquitous Greek cats and have also created a book called "The Secret Lives of Greek Cats", based on my photographs of them combined with Greek myths and history. Artist statement: It was astonishing to travel to this church high in the mountains. Pilgrims come from all over, often on foot, walking for days. Outside, the church is surrounded by crosses describing favors asked for and gifts thanking the Virgin for her help. My paintings and photographs are usually inspired by my travels and the fascinating people I've met.
