Artist statement: It took me a long time before I truly found my talent in life. It was finding out that I had autism, high on the spectrum, ADHD, and dyslexia at the age of sixty, that I had a great role in life to teach others with autism, that they have a chance to be successful too! I paint and draw every day coming up with new ideas for paintings. Artwork helps me tremendously everyday in so many ways.

$200.00

Artist statement: I'd like to think of myself as a hardworking yet lazy at the same time kind of artist. When I am doing my art or feel inspired to draw, it's mostly boredom fueled. When I start, I usually do not have a specific idea in mind, so the result is pretty much unpredictable. I listen to music or a podcast and make drawings as I go. Later in the work it becomes more clear to me if I like where it is going, or if it is a failed one and I need to start over.

Artist statement: All of the nooks and crannies of this beehive, giving a home to animals in order for an organic winery to grow and produce their prized posessions. So simple, yet so complex; but oh, so beautiful. Italy is filled with fresh foods, made from scratch; and this was an example of where "fresh" starts for many farmers, business owners and families.

Car Lights "Ruin" the Shot
Car Lights "Ruin" the Shot
Allison Rainville

Artist statement: This shot was an accident. I wanted the tree on the left to be dark, just to frame the Milky Way in the distance. But a car passed on the road behind me, shining headlights on the tree from the left, and then once it passed, it put on its brakes to stop in the pullout, all in the 30-second exposure time. I thought the shot was ruined. I took many more shots in the same spot that night hoping to get one or two good ones. But when I got home, this was my favorite of them all. Acadia National Park.
