Artist statement: What can I say? When you come upon an image like this, you can't resist the urge to paint such an unlikely scenario. The old studio piano has been abandoned-but not without the promise of one last concert by an adventurous passerby. Sit down and play a tune in this most unlikely venue!

Artist statement: As a kid I remember eating pizza at this iconic restaurant with my brother, sisters and a bunch of cousins. My uncle Andy ordered it with extra oil and lapped it up. However, my cousin used a pile of napkins to soak-up the extra oil off her piece. I think of that day almost every time I eat pizza.

Artist statement: While visiting the Boston harbor I snapped many photos of the fishermen and other workers on the pier. This scene caught my attention because of the singular worker against an abundance of containers. Also the colorful containers seemed to be extra prominent against the variety of grays in the rest of the background and foreground.

Summer Comfort
Summer Comfort
Janet Montecalvo
$875.00

Artist statement: This oil painting was inspired by a typical ice cream stand along the road in scenic western Massachusetts. Ice cream visits were always on the list for a family outing when I was growing up and remains so til this day. It would have been nice to get some refreshment after the long drive, but unfortunately it was closed for the season.

Fish Island Bridge
Fish Island Bridge
Emily Moreau

Artist statement: I've always loved the challenge of bringing beauty to the mundane. Fish Island is a very small island between New Bedford and Fairhaven with a closed and rundown gas station right before the bridge. This space is somewhere that most people would drive by and not think twice about, but I loved bringing a new life to it and creating something that was made to be admired.
Specific medium: Acrylic on paper
The Sunbeam
The Sunbeam
Emily Moreau

Artist statement: I was inspired to capture this space that was such a big part of my life growing up, I didn't want to glorify it by cleaning up some of the clutter of life (a blanket, cat toys, records on the entertainment center), but I did want to capture the coziness of my cat snoozing on her cat tower in the warm sun. This image summarizes the coziness of the home that I grew up in and am lucky enough to go back and visit any time I want to.
Specific medium: Acrylic on Illustration Board
The California Wave
The California Wave
Emily Moreau
$300.00

Artist statement: This piece was inspired by the sunny Southern California ocean! A memory that's stayed with me since the spring of 2010 was on a family vacation to Los Angeles - we visited Laguna Beach and while walking along the rocks on the coast, a wave hit my dad and killed his cell phone. To me, I won't speak for my dad, it was immediately funny and something I can look back on and laugh at! The colors in this piece are what I think of when I remember that trip.

Artist statement: I like the focus of this painting on the oranges and yellows of the cowboy's coat balanced with the netural background. It's up to the viewer to decide where he is going. I imagine he's headed on a long trek into the distant mountains.
Specific medium: Oil on canvas
Fay
Fay
Erik Moy
$480.00

Artist statement: Everything doesn't always go as planned. I imagine this cowboy is having a hard time with 'Fay'! I enjoyed the process of this painting, mixing the various browns and greys, and balancing the overall neutral palette with a cowboy in blue clothing and a red bandana.
Specific medium: Oil on canvas
