$350.00

Artist statement: It recently dawned on me that I’ve been an artist all of my life. I repressed it in the name of what-responsible-adults-are-supposed to do. My grandmother was a beautiful painter who dismissed her work, but encouraged me. My father taught me how to use his 35mm Nikon when I was 11. I taught myself how to use a darkroom. When I was 6, my mother sent me to a painting studio to get me out of her way. The teen boys made fun of me. I didn’t care. It felt like making magic. It still does.
